About Me

Lorelai is a Nashville-based drummer originally from North Carolina. Although her family had no musical background, Lorelai found her love of music from watching concert movies of the Jonas Brothers. Through that, she started playing percussion at the age five, and added drum set a few years later. Soon after, she and her siblings formed a band and performed in their hometown. As Lorelai grew in musicality she added voice, piano, and guitar to her skill set. After high school, Lorelai was accepted into Belmont University in Nashville, TN and is currently an honors student studying commercial percussion with a performance emphasis. Through Belmont, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Cardiff, Wales at the Royal Welsh Conservatory of Music & Drama, where she primarily studied jazz. During her time in school, she has performed everywhere from her hometown to the UK and even Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium—where she was invited to share the stage with music legend Donny Osmond on “Crazy Horses.” Her experience ranges from studio sessions on Music Row and live performances in Nashville to teaching lessons and composing for Film.

Through her love of music, Lorelai found strong influences in all things 70s and retro. Her favorite artists that continue to inspire her include The Osmond’s and The Jackson’s, along with solo artists such as Shaun Cassidy and Andy Gibb. These artists influence her music style and visual aesthetic, as well as her taste in TV , movies, and fashion. When she’s not immersed in her music, Lorelai enjoys reading poetry, watching 70s TV shows, and traveling with her friends. Passionate and versatile, Lorelai brings energy, creativity, and a fun groove to every performance and lesson. Most recently she teaches music lessons, early childhood classes, and camps at Bach to Rock in Franklin, TN. Additionally she subs for local gigs, is part of a Nashville-based metal band "Sunset Disclosure”, and is getting ready to start work on a new film composition project. Through her current projects, Lorelai is working her way towards being a touring and session drummer.
